One of the most complex aspects when learning a foreign language has been phonology subject, which is the study of the sound features used in a language to communicate meaning. Another definition of it is the following " it is about differences of meanign signaled by sound" Ken Lodge. The most important things I learned in this unit were the different stress English language has. For instance, sentence stress was not new but difficult to define, but what was new for me was main, secondary stress and contrastive stress. I use them when speaking but I did not know their specific names. I consider that teaching the phonemic chart, explaining what a phoneme is and the correct pronunciation to students will better their pronunciation of words and sentences. Also, other activities I can use in class can be exaggerating the pronunciation of sentences or phrases to teach intonation or rhythm. All these activities will help to sound more like a native speaker and have a correct pronunciation of the words.

Personally I consider that pronunciation is the most important aspect of a language because we communicate through sounds and there might be misunderstandings only for an errouneous pronunciation. Thanks for the links.
